This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game Balloonatic ("the Game", "we") handles information when you play.
The short version
- No account is required, and we never ask for your name, email, or contacts.
- Your game progress is stored only on your device.
- Voice mode is optional. It measures how loud you are on your device and never records, stores or sends audio.
- The Game shows ads (Google AdMob) and uses analytics (Google Firebase). Those services collect the limited technical data described below. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the Game asks for your consent first.
- On iPhone and iPad, the Game asks your permission before your device’s advertising identifier is used for tracking.
- We do not sell personal data.
Information stored on your device
Your game progress (best scores, Daily results and streak, passport stamps, the balloon you picked) and your settings are saved locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the Game deletes them. Your device’s standard backup service (for example Google Auto Backup or iCloud Backup) may include them in your own device backups.
Microphone (voice mode)
Voice mode lets you inflate the balloon by blowing, humming or singing. It is off until you switch it on, and the Game asks for microphone access only when you do.
While you play in voice mode, the Game reads the microphone to measure loudness, on your device, in memory. No audio is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere, and no third-party service receives it. The microphone is used only during a run in voice mode and is released when the run ends or pauses.
You can switch back to touch at any time in the Game, or remove microphone access in your device settings.
Information collected by third-party services
We use the services below inside the Game. They collect limited data automatically, under their own privacy policies.
| Service | What it is for | What it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Showing ads in Endless mode and optional reward videos, and the consent message described below | Your device’s advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android; on iPhone and iPad the IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, and technical information about your device and the Game used to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Understanding how the Game is played, for example how far runs get and whether players come back, so we can improve it | Gameplay events (runs started and finished, roofs reached, how a run ended, stamps collected, balloons unlocked or chosen, Daily results shared, screens opened, whether voice mode is on), a random app-instance identifier, device model, operating system and version, app version, language, country-level region, and when the Game is used. Analytics does not collect your advertising identifier and is not used for advertising. |
| Google Play Billing / Apple App Store | Processing optional in-app purchases | Handled entirely by Google Play or Apple; see Purchases |
Their policies: Google Privacy Policy (covers AdMob and Google Play) · How Google uses information from apps that use its services · Firebase Privacy and Security · Apple Privacy Policy (covers App Store purchases).
We do not sell personal data. We do not receive your identity from any of these services.
Ads, analytics and consent
Where local law requires it, including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the Game shows Google’s consent message the first time you open it. Your choices there decide whether ads are personalised, and whether analytics may store its identifier on your device. Until you have chosen, analytics stores nothing.
On iPhone and iPad, the Game also shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, your device’s advertising identifier is not used to track you and ads are not personalised with it. The Game plays exactly the same either way.
The Daily never shows ads, and nothing you buy or watch changes a Daily score. You can remove the ads in Endless mode with an optional one-off in-app purchase.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play (on Android) or by Apple’s App Store (on iPhone and iPad). We never see your payment details. The Game only learns that a purchase succeeded, so it can unlock what you bought, such as ad removal or new balloons.
Sharing your result
When you tap Share after a Daily run, the Game makes a picture of your result on your device and opens your device’s share menu. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to share it, and we don’t receive it.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Change your consent. Where the consent message applies, open the Game’s Settings and tap Privacy choices to change your answers at any time.
- Ad personalisation on Android. Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings → Google → Ads (on some devices, Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Tracking on iPhone and iPad. Change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” for every app.
- Microphone. Switch voice mode off in the Game, or remove microphone access in your device settings.
- Delete your data. All local game data is removed by uninstalling the Game. Because there is no account, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; analytics data is linked only to a random identifier that resets when you reinstall.
- Ask us anything. Questions and requests, including requests under data protection laws such as the GDPR, go to support@deyapps.com.
This website
This website (balloonatic.deyapps.com) counts visits with Google Analytics, but only if you agree in a banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, no analytics code is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, kept for up to two years, and collects pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser and device type. We use the result only as visit statistics. Change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; choosing “No thanks” deletes the analytics cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game evolves, for example when a new feature or service is added. The current version will always be available at this URL, with the effective date shown at the top.
